- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 eggs
- Olive oil

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Generously season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Beat the eggs in a bowl until well combined.
- Mix together the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in another bowl.
- Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, allowing excess to drip off, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the breaded chicken until golden brown on both sides.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish. Pour the marinara sauce over the top and finish with a generous layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
