A flavorful chicken thigh recipe with smoky paprika, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar that is easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and optional cayenne pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Place the chicken thighs into the marinade, ensuring they are thoroughly coated. Allow them to marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature, or for up to 4 hours in the refrigerator for enhanced flavor.
  3. Preheat your oven to 425ยฐF (220ยฐC).
  4. Transfer the marinated chicken thighs to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, positioning them skin-side up.
  5. Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until the skin is golden and crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 165ยฐF (74ยฐC).
  6. Before serving, garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

For the crispiest skin, pat the chicken thighs dry before marinating. Consider using different herbs or sweeteners for variations.
